Not what it was cut out to be

Great Wrinkle Control

Excellent but need more detailed instructions

Simple to use.

TOO COMPLICATED A MACHINE

All I ever wanted

Drawer base is too tall to fit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only had this dryer a week so there's still a learning curve. On the plus side - 1) It's quiet. 2) It holds a lot. 3) The lint trap is easy to clean. 4) The door is reversible. On the minus side - 1) It has to sit on our floor so it's low to access the contents. Our previous dryer had a 14" drawer base. Maytag's base is 15.5" which won't fit below the cupboards. I don't see any other base options available from Maytag. Now that it's in place, raising it up to fit an aftermarket base looks like a hassle. To avoid bending, stooping, or kneeling, I would not buy another unit without a base that won't fit under our cabinets. 2) The drying cycle sometimes finishes and the contents aren't completely dry. This seems frequent with large items. 3) The 20 page owner's manual doesn't cover settings or operations other than how to clean the lint trap. It's mostly about installation. Fortunately there is plenty of information online. 4) Maytag's 800 number for Customer Service has had a long wait (20 minutes plus) both times I've called for assistance.
